Will you walk for human rights this year?                                                The International Walk for Human Rights is a way to create awareness across the world about the need for human rights and human rights education by many countries joining together to celebrate the United Nations Human Rights Day, December 10. The International Walk started from a group of dedicated human rights advocates in 2009 with 12 walks in 12 countries, and more than doubled its size in 2010 to 62 walks in 27 countries. In 2011, the walk spread to 30 countries.  More than 17 walks were organized in India alone in 2011 with thousands of people walking. This year, let us awaken the world to the need of human rights education, let us unite on the Human Rights Day and walk for human rights.
